Alba Lorente Hernández's work is a passive cry of truth, which attests to a process of working with the material itself: in it there is not a gesture, but a trace. Her compositions testify to a radical nonconformity, in which the artist tries to deny what we know to be true not in the motives, but in the starting point, the form.
Observation, sensitivity towards the different media and their careful choice make the creation process intervened by the baggage of the avant-gardes of the last century (especially by the Manifesto of destructive art by Kenneth Kemble), but also by nature. of the object to transform. Through action on the different materials that he uses, Lorente breaks something that was being. Ultimately, it breaks the very nature of the verb to be, in an act as impulsive as it is patient in which observation and abduction coexist and alternate.
Delving into the idea of presence through absence, his choice of black as the dominant color is a faithful reflection of the security of that rejection of what is already known, and of a deep pictorial ambition.
"Although it is night, here the creatures are being called", and the call is in the lines, in the spots, in the cuts, the folds, the wrinkles, and the perforations. The work calls the viewer and encourages him to accept the contradictions, and to live.
It is as if to the question “what are you afraid of?”, Alba Lorente Hernández's work answered “yesterday”, and flees forward in search of an authentic, new and personal vision of Art.

Castellón (España). 1983
Licenciada en Bellas Artes por la Universidad Politécnica de Valencia (2007), estudió también en la Faculdade de Belas Artes de Lisboa durante el curso 2005-2006.
Máster en Producción Artística en la Universidad Politécnica de Valencia 2011-2012.
Ha sido beneficiaria de becas como 3cmcv (2015), la beca “Habitat artístic” del Ayuntamiento del Castellón (2018 y 2012) y Becas de colaboración con la Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, en el departamento de pintura, entre otras.
Centra su trabajo en las artes plásticas, aunque se desenvuelve dentro de ellas con diferentes lenguajes que van desde el street-art hasta la instalación pictórica.
El tema central de su obra más reciente, son los objetos y nuestros vínculos con ellos, la necesidad humana de poseer y acumular, los recuerdos cosificados y el paso del tiempo; Aunque también los utiliza, ya no tanto para hablar del objeto en sí, sino como elemento narrativo para tratar otros temas que le interesan como la precariedad laboral o la desigualdad de género.
El apego, la cotidianidad, la memoria, los recuerdos, la obsesión o la posesión son palabras clave de su obra .
Desde 2003 ha participado en varias exposiciones colectivas e individuales en Europa y EEUU. Cabe destacar entre las individuales, “Bye bye souvenir” en Galería 4 , “La belleza de la acumulación” en el Museo de Arte contemporáneo de Villafamés (2021), ”Grow up” realizada con la ayuda del centro de arte de la Universidad de Valencia (2016), “Septiembre” en el centro Las Naves de Valencia (2014) y “Acumulaciones y fetiches” en la Galería Diferença de Lisboa; y entre las colectivas “The escape” en Linden New Art, Melbourne (2023) , "Open borders" en Odetta Gallery de NY (2019), “Desplazamientos Sediciosos” en las Naves (2019) “Arte y metamorfosis” en el Museo del Carmen de Valencia (2015), Selecta Suma en “Las Atarazanas” Valencia (2014) o "Hybrida Art Festival" en La Nau (2012)
También ha participado en ferias como “ Just Mad” y “Just Lx” (2023), “Estampa” (2021), "Drawing Room" (Madrid 2020), “Marte” en Castellón (2019-2018-2015) o Ikas-Art en Bilbao, en representación de la UPV (2011).
Sus obras se encuentran en colecciones privadas de España, U.K, Portugal, Bélgica, Estados Unidos y Japón, así como en el fondo artístico de la UPV, Ayuntamiento de Castellón, Ayuntamiento de Valencia, el Ayuntamiento de Paterna y el museo de arte contemporáneo de Villafamés.
