the fury B ASADA IN "LA FIERECILLA DOMADA"
LA FURIA is a version of LA FIERECILLA TAMADA by W. Shakespeare in the gypsy style, to the sound of Balkan music and with a cast of 8 young actors on stage.
It is a meta-theatrical Shakespearean comedy where "nothing is what it seems" and in which the determination of women on gender issues and their irremediable insubordination and revolution is extolled.
Shakespeare frames his piece within a double shell, as the first invitation to think that nothing is what it seems. A drunkard wakes up surrounded by people who make him believe that he is a noble lord, possessor of great wealth, and right there, for him and those present, he will witness the story of The Taming of Fury 1. In it, and to the sound of party music, Darinka Minola proclaims that she will not marry her beautiful daughter Blanca until her other daughter, the surly and brave Catalina, finds no suitor capable of marrying her.
The game is served. Deadlines and suitors set in motion, funny disputes, severe encounters, sets and dress-up games to get hold of the sweet treasure of love. This is where Dragomir arrives, a brave young man who tries to conquer the temperament of his savage older sister. And this is where comedy reaches its maximum temperature, as we discover that the fight begins to be a real race for dignity and respect.
An energetic attack against incomprehension and intolerance, in a coming and going of characters in a state of grace as they live their own misfortune, a veritable bazaar of types and kaleidoscopic situations, of deceptions and compliments and questions thrown into the air, to end up discovering that Catalina and Dragomir can love or hate each other, kill each other or live, tear each other to pieces, eat each other, hug, stab each other or go out dancing again ... but what they are truly obliged to do for each other, and together in this great party, is to respect and understand each other. .
Everyone is invited to the wedding ... if there is one.
